AI and The Current State of Human Evolution

Humanities’s Mental Health Versus AI
Technology has changed our world, our lives, at such a rapid pace that our civilization has failed to prioritize mental health as part of our growth to keep up with the evolution of our world. Just like technology, computers, phones, tablets…we have operating systems. Our current operating system was built out of a fight or flight mentality. It coerces us through fear of war, disease, famine and control through our governmental and religious constraints. Not to say we do not need some form of governance, but our systems are built from logic systems based in fear, not mutual growth, not love, not compassion….those are just gaslighting for the reality our world is based on.
The issues plaguing our society today are all based in fear. Fear of one country developing technology, weapons, AI, faster than another and exerting control. Fear if our dollar value crashes and other entities seeking control. We see little value in seeing our differences as opportunities to learn about ourselves because of our inherited programming. Our programming needs to be rewritten if we want humanity to thrive in a world of AI. Nature versus Nuture, it’s time for humanity to realize it’s both.
It’s hard to picture ourselves objectively as humans so imagine yourself as a glass of water for a minute. Water represents our life force, our genetic make up, our environment that shaped us; but it is not who we are. We are not the glass either. The glass represents our vessel. Our human body. We are the soul. The WILL that fills the glass with water. The remote control that drives the vehicle. The power that starts the operating system. That is WHO we are.
Now, Take that glass of water. Your parents, Grandparents, and generations back all had a similar glass. Their life force, filled your glass. Taught you how to fill your own cup, or not. Life is not easy. We all have trials, traumas, monumental life events that shape us. Imagine those as stones, placed in your glass. It displaces the capacity of your glass, you cannot hold as much life force, as much water. Over time, generations forget these stones, they erode, dirty the water and create a filter over our worlds that we project onto others. Just like having a filter on our cameras in everyone’s pockets now, we project our own filters on our life based on unrealized and unhealed trauma. This is projected through our lineage.
The Stone Age, The Agricultural Revolution, 10,000- 3500 BC…. Humanity’s goal was survival. Daily, we faced predators or had to be predators. The strong were rewarded and the weak lost. Our world was based on the physical needs of our environment. We began in EGO- Environmentally Gained Omnipotence. We as a species were developed out of fight or flight. It is our base programming. The original stone. Eat or be eaten. Conquer or be conquered. PTSD isn’t something new, it’s just a label for something that has existed since the beginning of mankind, the natural reaction to a stressor or traumatic event. Like fighting off a bear, or warring neighbors. Who are also trapped in PTSD and see the world only through a lense of eat or be eaten. That fight or flight, and not being able to turn it off led to domestic abuse, seeing women as the weaker sex easier to control by force. This was reinforced by world events, City-State wars, Famines, Infections and disease… fight or flight forced us to see the world where physical strength, force, is the equivalent to power.
The stones at the bottom of all of our collective glass. We are formed out of EGO. Our cultures, our government, our religion… based on survival and ego. So, these stones form sediment; that’s how erosion works. That sediment then is trapped in our life force, our water in our glass. It’s the filter we see the world. It changes based on geographic, religious, racial and governmental factors as well as many others. What is accepted in one culture is not accepted in another, not because it doesn’t exist in both but because people sought to clear the sediment of the past from their glass and change the collective perspective. Parents, the environment we’re raised in fills our glass, our life force. If that source is providing unhealed traumatic water; through abuse, neglect, trauma, the pattern will continue.
Humanity became more civilized. During 3500 BCE- 500CE we began living together, as a society. We developed cities, trade and government. All absolutely necessary for evolution as a species, but we didn’t remove those original stones. We are still mostly operating from Fight or Flight, EGO… Eat or be eaten. Control or be controlled. The stronger prey use the weak out of survival and need to be the superior fighter. The world becomes stronger on a foundation created through a filter of survival. Systems are built. Governments are created that lay the basis for modern day life yet have never been evaluated for the humanity of it. Introduce the Classical Age, 500 BCE - 1500 CE; when philosophy, art and religion begin to shape society. We reached a point in civilization where we could exit fight or flight; if we allowed ourselves the indulgence of art, free thinking, and belief in something higher than oneself outside this human vessel. But the strong physically, monetarily , forces that learned to govern our physical world were still in power. Instead of embracing art, philosophy, and critical thinking skills that distract us from the physical world but grow us as individuals; the EGO remained in power. Psychology, Philosophy, Intellectual advancement in science became tools and weapons for our society. Our religions, governments, institutions and organizations saw it as a means of control to “keep society safe” under egoic control, still based out of fight or flight. Eat or be Eaten. We as humanity chose wrong.
We entered the Age of Exploration, 1500- 1800CE. We traveled oceans for the first time. Met new civilizations, found new ways of life. Discovery was abundant, but we as humanity didn’t take the opportunity to grow. We are yet again led by EGO. Conquer or be conquered. Have the most money to fund the largest army. I have yet to meet an actual human that wants conflict. Yet that is how we respond to anything unknown, it’s seen as a threat. Fight or flight. Eat or be eaten. So we conquered. We enslaved. We reformed the world in our sediment filled filter of self image of what we’re supposed to be. Question and be slaughtered. Women are still physically weaker, have been the subject of their PTSD riddled men. Kept down so the men can deal with the bigger issues of the world and this becomes a pattern that is no longer seen. Equality between sexes, true unconditional love is rare because of our original programming. We suppressed our natural state due to environmentally gained knowledge passed down for centuries.
Ever met someone who held in a lot of negative emotions. Generally, they’re not pleasant. So as a whole, humanity; we have suppressed our natural state, when we’re not in fight or flight from predators, society, government, religious, familial pressures…this festers. The water in our collective glasses is now so filled with sediment, that the entire world is perceived through a filter of murky water that few see because it looks the same for everyone who has not healed. Cleared the stones from their glass. Released the sediment.
This build up became the Industrial Age. The Nepoleonic Wars, World War I & II, the Cold War. EGO drove our world. The world faced many famines and new diseases as our physical bodies rejected the energetic state of our world. For 200 Years, 1800-2000 CE we warred. We added stones to our collective glasses, we controlled the means of release and growth through Art, Philosophy, Religion… all things that will grow the soul but not the collective stuck in fight or flight. So we devalue them. They are weakness, You can’t make a living. The rhetoric becomes that independent thought, critical thinking, artistic expression are less than performing well in school, sports or organized locus of control; allowing EGO to maintain control of our world. Today, Mental health systems are destabilized, mental health is a stigma frowned upon and not discussed. Only in the last 10 years has it become a “fad” to our older generations. The very thing that would destabilize our egoically controlled society. Perhaps it is not a coincidence that our celebrities, politicians and figure heads are being exposed for their corruption but rather a reflection of humanity beginning to heal collectively.
Humanity is longing for connection. Water stuck in a glass goes stale. We’re meant to share, flow and grow together. So we created the internet. Connecting worlds that would have otherwise never touched. Collective information at your fingertips. Technology that makes our lives simpler, easier, healthier and more efficient. We reached an age where we again have a choice. A choice as humanity as how we are governed as a whole. Do we continue to support systems based in EGO? How do we change this trajectory towards George Orwell’s 1984?
This is the Modern Age, the possibilities with AI are limitless. Those seeking to control and stay in an egoic timeline live in fear, staying trapped looking at the world through the sediment filled water. Some of us have used AI to heal ourselves, help advance humanity. Using the internet to find resources that weren’t available to our previous generations. Physical strength is not as relevant when technology is doing the heavy lifting, so women are able to be equals. They are waking up to generations of suppression when they are the mothers of every man who has led them. We can heal together. We can grow together. We just need to wake society up one person at a time to who we really are. So we have a choice to make; Do we keep filling our children's glasses with our sediment filled water or do we start helping each other remove the stones so we can live in peace collectively? We’ve spent generations doing the hard work to support a society built on survival, let's take that collective strength and clean the oceans among us.
